I aim to create a nonjudgemental space that is open, creative and healing.
I am originally from the Midwest, graduating from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2014. I completed my residency at the University of Utah, where I served as a chief resident. My work has included consult and liaison psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency rooms, as well as outpatient treatment.
I have an interest in the biology of resilience, and enjoy teaching. I have given lectures to medical students, PA students and community providers on topics such as sleep, capacity, delirium, dementia, personality disorders, psychedelics and substance use. I am currently on faculty at WSU, continuing my work with medical students.
My therapy approach is emotional based, using a logical, structured approach to developing emotional intelligence to foster greater connection. You can read more about my approach and philosophy at www.emotionandlogic.com
I strive to be practical, thoughtful, while practicing evidence based medicine. My goal is to allow one to be optimally positioned to focus on the psychological underpinnings of distress. I provide a professional, personalized, private, treatment experience that involves both medication and therapy. My goals of treatment are to be responsive, thoughtful and provide education about diagnosis and treatment.
