Thank you for your interest in Principle Mind. We provide psychiatric services for adolescents ages 6+ and adults. Our goal is to be efficient, responsive and respectful.
We provide a high level of specialized treatment and medical care that is private, personalized and professional. As medical professionals, we do not offer therapy only appointments.
We are in network with Cigna, Regence, BCBS, Providence Health Plan, Moda and Pacific Source insurances, as well as private pay patients. Please contact your insurance in advance to get coverage details for your policy, Sample questions are in the Insurance section of this website.
We find that using an online system is more efficient than coordinating via phone. The process begins by filling out our New Patient Inquiry Form. We use a secure, HIPAA compliant system. Information obtained is your information and will not be shared with any outside entity. This will allow us to get a sense of your needs, fit for our practice style and clinic setting. We provide medications in conjunction with therapy.
If it appears that your needs meet the capacity of our clinic, you will receive an email with new appointment scheduling instructions. This will include completing a new patient packet, which contains consents for treatment.
Once your packet is completed, you will select an appointment time that works best for you. Appointments are managed online, including rescheduling or cancellation.
Please note, this is a small, part time private practice, so if you are needing comprehensive care, such as frequent appointments, crisis interventions and disability, our practice is not able to provide these services. I also work as a hospital consult psychiatrist, and see select, private patients in my office on a case by case basis, so our set up is not a perfect fit for everyone.
Controlled substance policy. We limit use of controlled medications, specifically benzodiazepines. We will verify your history using medical and prescription records from the last 3 months. Without these records, you will be restarted on treatment based on your history, our clinical assessment and guidelines.
Please note that we do not prescribe controlled substances on the first appointment
without prior medical records and verification.
